When I read the above quote by the journalist for Prague Post, I immediately wrote it down and tucked it away. It seemed fitting against the backdrop of my walk along the river and across the bridge the other night.
Honestly, this was the first time I have been across the bridge since returning to Prague. I often go more than a week without being in the center of the city (the only part tourists usually see.) But, sometimes I just have to go. When I do, it reminds me that the view is worth battling the cold and the crowds.
It takes my breath, just as much as the first time I ever saw it.
And, there is something in the melancholy beauty of this city that calls me to reflect a little more deeply. I really needed that this week. So, for now, I will share a little of my walk with you and, later, a little more of my reflections…
